Bridge Inn (Tatham - 10 mins walk)
The pub is a traditional old inn with low ceilings and oak beams. Good pub food at reasonable prices is served in the bar and restaurant. The restaurant is very popular and booking is recommended at weekends and Bank Holidays.
Directions: From cottage turn right towards across River Wenning 1/2m.

Lunesdale Arms (Tunstall - 3miles)
Recommended by a number of our guests. The pub has recently been refurbished and offers a wide range of food prepared in the kitchen from fresh local produce.
Directions: From cottage turn right to Melling and take A683 to Tunstall

An old pub by the river offering good pub food.

Wheatsheaf Inn (Ingleton - 5 miles)
The Wheatsheaf is very popular and offers a range of home cooking. A large selection of real cask, hand pulled ales is also available.
Directions: From cottage turn left on B6840 towards Bentham, take 1st left (1/2m) and follow signposts to Ingleton. At A65 junction turn right and then 1st left into village.

Marton Arms (Marton-in Lonsdale, Nr Ingleton - 5 miles)
Few country inns offer this much choice with 15 hand pulled and constantly changing cask ales. There's also a selection of 200 malt to send the whisky connoisseur into ecstasy. The pub also offers an extensive menu of hearty food. Very large portions are the order of the day.
Directions: From cottage turn left on B6840 towards Bentham, take 1st left (1/2m) and follow signposts to Ingleton. At A65 junction turn left and after Harvester (1/2m) turn right.

Snooty Fox (Kirkby Lonsdale - 6 miles)
A listed Jacobean inn. Meals range from salads, jacket potatoes and filled baguettes to the inn's own recipe Cumberland sausages, poached turbot with cockles and clams in a Chardonnay sauce and ragout of Holker venison in crisp pastry.

Whoop Hall (Nr Kirkby Lonsdale - 6 miles)
The ghost of a murdered coachman is a relic of this coaching inn's history, as are the oak beams and log fires The restaurant offers a good choice including half roast duckling on a orange and lime reduction, and baked red mullet with tomato and basil cream sauce.

Pheasant Inn (Casterton, Nr Kirkby Lonsdale - 6 miles)
This 18th Century coach house served briefly as the World War headquarters of King Peter of Yugoslavia. A meal here may include oven-baked doctor fish, Lock Fyne mussels cooked in white wine, or Aberdeen Angus steak.
Directions: Head towards Kirby Lonsdale and just before Devil's Bridge turn left onto A683, 1m to Casterton.

The Cottage Restaurant (Caton - 6 miles)
Built in 1692 the cottage is noted for the quality of its food and service in traditional surroundings. Log fires and exposed beams, together with fresh produce from local suppliers.
Directions: From cottage take B6480 through Wray and at junction with A683 turn left towards Caton.
Open: Tuesday-Sunday (For opening times please phone).

The Old Hill Inn (Chapel le Dale)
This ancient inn of great character nestles between Ingleborough and Whernside on the 3 Peaks walk. Log fires, well kept traditional ales and excellent home cooked food; naughty puds a speciality. Very good reputation.
